Latest News....on Owen Money Theatre Company productions
Owen is delighted to announce that London West End stage singing sensation Peter Karrie is to star as ‘Bluebeard' in Robinson Crusoe - an artiste of his caliber is sure to delight South Wales audiences. Owen will lead as ‘Billy Crusoe'. For the first time the company is to play at the Welfare Hall, Ystradgynlais before moving on for the Christmas period to the Muni Arts Centre, Pontypridd.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is to star Mike Doyle as 'Muddles' . Mike with his easy wit and charm, has a wealth of pantomime experience behind him and Muddles is a role you could say was written especially for him. The Snow White tour is one of the longest productions in the UK appearing in seven different towns: Brecon, Aberdare, Blackwood, Carmarthen, Port Talbot, Treorchy and last but not least Cwmbran.
So, whatever age you are, catch the fun and enjoyment of an Owen Money Theatre Company production this winter. Check the venues and schedules on the panto page.
Humpty Dumpty Meets the Magic Bus is a brand new children's production, scripted by Alan Wightman for Owen Money Theatre Company. The first performance is scheduled for the Congress Theatre, Cwmbran during the October school half term holiday. Click panto page.
Owen Money & Paul Child in Concert - NEW DATES
Owen Money Wales' favourite stand up comedian is to star again with Paul Child described as 'The New Voice Of Wales'. Paul performs regularly at the Millennium Stadium before rugby internationals and other sporting events. Paul's CD 'Bread of Heaven' reached the top ten in the album charts and is the Official Album of The Welsh Rugby Union.
Accompanied by The Welsh Television Orchestra and special guests The Dragons Choir, join Owen & Paul for an unforgettable evening of the very best in Welsh entertainment.

Buttons.. Undone! - A Pantomime for Adults with a difference
Buttons.. Undone finished on Saturday 26th April after playing to appreciative and enthusiastic audiences at the Miners Institute, Blackwood; the Parc and Dare, Treorchy and the Grand Theatre, Swansea and the Congress Theatre Cwmbran.Owen hopes to produce another adult farce for spring 2009.

Owen Money starred as Buttons with a strong supporting cast - Phylip Harries and Sue Roderick as the Ugly sisters; Sammi Broad as Cinderella; Lloyd Davies and Toni Caroll as Baron & Baroness Hardup; Llinos Thomas (Dandini); Anthony Moulton as Prince Charming with Emily Thorling and Nikki Lang cast as the Fairies.
This production was an hilarious night of fun that had audiences rocking with laugher! Did Buttons have his wicked way with Cinders? That would be telling - Buttons … Undone!

Owen Money received his MBE at Buckingham Palace in June 2007
A very proud Owen travelled to London with his wife and family for this very special occasion last June. He was awarded his MBE for services to entertainment and was quite overwhelmed and moved by the experience. As he said "it was quite an unusal day in the life of Merthyr's Best Entertainer!" |
